Trauma and Wellbeing

This session is designed to cover the basics of childhood trauma and the impacts on wellbeing. No prior knowledge is needed to attend this session. Anyone working with students and clients in schools, youth or care settings are encouraged to attend.

In this 90 minute session Megan Corcoran will draw on theory, research and her professional experience to provide the following:

- A definition of childhood trauma and the different types of trauma

- Attachment theory and impact of trauma on the brain

- Behaviour

- Trauma-informed strategies to support the wellbeing of students and clients

There will be time for Q&A before the end of the session
